Jerry was raised in a close-knit family in the small town of Troy, Illinois, a formative experience which instilled in him a strong sense of community and integrity. He earned a B.S. in Finance from Millikin University, and then quickly gained a thorough understanding of the mortgage industry after serving in a variety of capacities and managerial roles. Noticing that the mortgage lending industry was abandoning common sense and accountability, Jerry seized an opportunity to build a new mortgage company on a foundation of respectability and excellent customer service.

In 2001, Jerry and business partner George DeMare formed Midwest Mortgage Capital in St. Louis, Missouri. With a focus on continuing employee education and a commitment to our customers, MMC grew from a company of 3 employees to nearly 70 today. Avoiding the questionable lending behavior that dominated during the real estate bubble, George and Jerry stayed true to their morals and ethics. They continue strive daily to better serve the relationships they’ve developed over the years and to help more people accomplish their goal of homeownership. Jerry attributes Midwest Mortgage Capital’s success to its commitment to serve its customers and the community.
